EXCLUSIVE Clone Wars: Padawan Lost Review (3.5/5)
For weeks now, Star Wars fans have been waiting to see original trilogy favourite Chewbacca appear in the two-part finale to the third season of Clone Wars, but they'll have to wait a bit longer as there was pretty much no sign of any Wookies in Padawan Lost. What we did get, however, was a fast-paced and often edgy tale as Ahsoka was led astray into the forests of the beautifully animated Felucia by Trandoshans (a race that will one day encompass Bossk, a bounty hunter set to enter the battle to capture Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back), only to find salvation in other hunted apprentices and Jedi Knights. The episode was lacking in some areas, though: there was no final confrontation to speak off between the younglings and their pursuers, which much like recent efforts The Citadel and Counter Attack made the ending a bit too anticlimatic, and while I'm at it the lack of a cameo by Chewie (meaning that we will only get to see our hairy friend for half an hour or less next week) really forces the story into the realm of wasted opportunity. We're getting this and the next story earlier than US viewers, but that region of Jediism probably won't be too enamoured by this one either!
