Christopher & His Kind Airdate Revealed
The airdate for new BBC drama Christopher & His Kind has been revealed as the 19th of March. The programme, starring Matt Smith, revolves around the true story of British author Christopher Isherwood's time in Berlin during the Second World War, as he discovers his sexuality and ultimately the extent of destruction the Nazi regime will bring if it is allowed to continue. Lead actor Matt Smith, known for his ongoing portrayal of Doctor Who that has gone down a storm with fans and critics alike, has said that "at the heart of the programme is Christopher's acceptance of his own identity and self-discovery- we learn a lot about his sexuality and the arena in which he can do that freely". Christopher & His Kind will air at 9.30pm on Saturday the 19th of March (fans of the actor will be in heaven that weekend, since on the day before, two mini-episodes of Who starring him as the Doctor will air on the Comic Relief show) with a running time of 90 minutes, so my review of Smith's latest drama will be up the next day.
