Final Mass Effect 2 DLC Announced

There's been no end of praise for Mass Effect 2, the epic science-fiction shooter having been awarded IGN's Game of the Year award and the GAME Bafta for Best 2010 Game too, with those being just some of the accolades thrust upon it since its January 2010 release. Now, we know that the third and final instalment in the role-playing trilogy is set for release this Winter, and even before that a new downloadable content pack of missions will be released later this month. On March 29th, Arrival will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network, bridging the gap between the end of the second game and the beginning of the finale. BioWare's press release for the new DLC reads: "All year, we have been extremely honoured by the reception we have received for Mass Effect 2 from around the world, including our post release DLC. Mass Effect: Arrival is an exciting extension to ME2 and it will show players just how close the Reapers are to returning and collecting their dead harvest." That sounds just about right, with the ME3 trailer showcasing the aformentioned baddies invading a future Earth, destroying everything in their path...Arrival releases for £5 on March 29th, and Mass Effect 3 is due Holiday 2011.
