SEGA are keen to assure fans of the
Sonic The Hedgehog franchise that the second instalment in their
Sonic The Hedgehog 4 downloadable series will right the wrongs of
Episode I (i.e. visual and physics problems), and the first screenshots released for
Episode II at least can begin to give an indication of some of the changes the developer is making. At first, things seem fairly similar to the first download-only title, but eagle-eyed followers will perhaps notice that the character model of Sonic in particular has undergone some drastic colour changes, hopefully signalling that we can expect drastic overhauls of the elements of
Ep I that weren't quite up to scratch. We see environments including underwater and snowy levels, so perhaps we're about to get a throwback to
Sonic 2 as
Episode I was to the Mega Drive original?
Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II will retail on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network on May 16th.
