Sky1's new domestic drama The Cafe will return for a second series next year, it's been confirmed this week. The show launched last Autumn, focusing on the lives of a small seaside village cafe, and recieving impressive ratings for the non-terresterial channel that have obviously convinced its owners to commission a new run. "It's been amazing, and frankly a relief," says star and writer Ralf Little, "to learn that The Cafe had a warm critical reception, but none of that matters if the powers that be don't have the faith to re-commission another series. Now we just have to write it..." The Cafe Series Two will commence shooting this Autumn, for broadcast in Summer 2013.
