Square Enix Announce Sleeping Dogs

Want to see what's become of True Crime? Look no further.
Ever since Square Enix's confirmation last year that they had picked up Activision's cancelled project True Crime: Hong Kong, gamers have wondered what would become of the third-person shooter in the hands of its new publisher. Now, we've discovered the truth- the game is now simply called Sleeping Dogs, shedding its franchise heritage due to licensing issues. The title's storyline follows a Chinese man's undercover operation in Hong Kong to infiltrate and destabalise the Triad gangs, and of course the gameplay will likely involve fast-paced, intense gun battles across the iconic city. What with having just announced Sleeping Dogs, Square Enix are currently playing their cards close to their chest in terms of what new features and narrative twists their game will entail, but we do know for sure that the new title will ship this August for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
