In a diabolical turn of fate, we won't see the MMORPG till this Summer...
For fans of upcoming PC MMORPG Diablo III and its developer Blizzard Entertainment, the road to the game's release has been a long and arduous one- announced in France back in 2008, the title has gone through various incarnations and promotional phases, but Blizzard are assuring us it'll be with us before the year's end. At first, it was looking like the new instalment in the award-winning franchise might ship before the end of the first quarter of 2012, however Activision and Blizzard have sadly shot down that hope, revealing that we won't see the game ship until June 30th at the latest. For console fans not in the know, the third Diablo sees the kingdom of Sanctuary assaulted by a dark army from the Burning Hells, forcing a team of elite warriors (i.e. the wealth of players waiting to head online) to stand up against the evil facing the game world and save their families. It's looking to be quite the video gaming experience, if only Blizzard would finish work on it, but fans can at least sleep safe in the knowledge that their favourite developer won't release it on the web until they're sufficiently happy it hits all the right notes. Diablo III is now due for release this Summer.
