A new DLC pack focusing on Subject 16 is out next Tuesday.
Few of us could say that Assassin's Creed: Revelations (9/10) was the series' finest hour- too many elements of the past were shamelessly recycled, and new mechanics like the Den system and bomb features were severly underused by the developers in a seeming attempt to stall for time while Ubisoft Montreal moved further with their ACIII project. Still, we're getting a new pack of downloadable content for Revelations next week in the form of The Lost Archive, a retrospective piece which gives background on the mysterious Subject 16, who appeared to sacrifice himself for Desmond at the conclusion of the game's main campaign. Could there be further revelations in store, where it's revealed that the game's prologue first-person missions will lead to 16 finding his way out of the Animus despite his apparent demise? I'm not sure, but sadly we can't expect any groundbreaking developments here for fear of the rest of the fanbase having to catch up in Assassin's Creed III when it ships this October. Nevertheless, fans may want to give The Lost Archive a try for more hints on the series' lore when it ships next Tuesday, February 28th.
