We will fight the aliens on the beaches!If you're looking forward to the blockbuster movie adaptation of board game Battleship coming our way in a couple of months' time, you may well be interested to know that a downloadable video game adaptation (yep, the game of the movie of the game!) of the film's storyline is on its way to the Sony Computer Entertainment Network and Xbox Live very soon. Running parallel to the events of the sci-fi feature, the game takes the guise of a first-peerson shooter, featuring strategy and role-playing elements in the quest to overthrow the alien menace facing the seas and the American military forces deployed in the Bay-esque new flick. Based on previous movie FPSes like Battle: Los Angeles- didn't you hear about that? There's a good reason you didn't...- I'm not hugely optimistic for Battleship's chances, but it'll be an interesting one to give a go all the same. Battleship (the movie) hits cinemas on April 13th, so expect the game sometime around then.
