Get ready for another kick-ass superhero comedy next year!
A sequel to 2010's hit superhero comedy Kick-Ass will begin filming this Summer, graphic novel creator Mark Miller has confirmed. The original movie was a great, innovative flick with lots of great turns by rising stars that in the two years that have followed have quickly risen up the ranks (see Chloe Moretz, who has now been in Let Me In and Hugo for starters!), so I for one welcome the idea of seeing some of these now-established celebrities back on-screen together for another hilarious romp. Miller has confirmed that Matthew Vaughn won't be back to direct due to commitments on other projects like the sequel to X-Men: First Class, so a new writer and director for the film, as well as an official release date, are expected to be announced too. Kick-Ass 2 will probably be here in late 2013.
