Not too long until COD goes properly portable...We're still waiting for confirmation from Activision that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is on its way to consoles this year admist a host of retailer and resume leaks across the web, but we have at least now got confirmation as to when the first incarnation of the COD franchise will arrive on the PlayStation Vita. The new version of the award-winning series was announced at E3 2011 in Sony's headliner conference to ship at some point after the handheld's launch, and what with next week seeing the launch take place, Sony are clearly kicking into gear by revealing when their big promised titles are hitting stores. "Call of Duty on Vita is going to be an absolute game-changer for the platformer, and that's in the Autumn," says marketing manager Guy Longsworth. So, if it's Autumn we're looking at, does that mean Black Ops 2 will ship on Vita? Or perhaps we'll get a new exclusive altogether? Or a variation on Black Ops 2 as has been done with the DS versions of past COD titles? We'll have to wait and see...
