Transformers 4 Confirmed

The Transformers Transform Again!
Fans of Hasbro's award-winning Transformers film franchise will no doubt be happy to hear that distributor Paramount Pictures have today announced the production of a fourth film in the series. Expected to be a reboot of sorts featuring a new cast of human actors and robot voices, the latest instalment will once again be directed by Michael Bay, but that's just about everything we know in terms of the team at large for this one, with no confirmation as to whether Shia LeBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hugo Weaving or the rest of the original cast will make any form of return/cameos in it. Bay is set to helm a new comedy, Pain & Gain later this year, and then he'll be getting to work on what is sure to be another big cash-hoarder for Paramount. To be fair, I really enjoyed the recent Dark of the Moon (4.5/5), but I can't help but feel that they're milking the heck out of this cash cow further than they should, and that the franchise as a whole might lose some integrity as a result as it did with Revenge of the Fallen (2/5) back in 2009. Transformers 4 is scheduled to hit cinemas on June 29th, 2014.
