The best-selling author of the Potter novels is bringing us a new adult tale next year...
A brand new novel from Harry Potter author J.K Rowling is on its way in 2013, Rowling and her American publisher Little, Brown have confirmed today. It's been six years now since one of the world's most prized children's authors released Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows back in 2007, and bar The Tales of Beedle The Bard later that year, fans of her famed wizarding series haven't had anymore paper fiction adventures for the Boy Wizard. Sadly, though, this new endeavour won't be related to Rowling's best-known franchise, but instead a standalone novel targeted at the adult readership. This is a brave move for Joanna Rowling considering that her general target demographic of fans and kids are so loyal to her hit series of magical novels, yet there's every bit of evidence based on her literary prowess that we'll be just as surprised as always to see what tricks Jo still has up her sleeves for the foreseeable future. The new untitled piece will retail in book stores in early 2013; expect more details on Rowling's latest work in a few months' time.
