Assassin's Creed Brotherhood: Da Vinci Edition Announced
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was a great instalment in Ubisoft's biggest franchise, getting a perhaps overzealous 10/10 here for being the best refinement of the game-play formula yet, however it wasn't on many Game of the Year lists as sufficed to say with the same protagonist and setting not much changed from 2009's equally brilliant Assassin's Creed II (9.5/10). So, instead of creating a special edition under the GOTY heading, developer Ubisoft Montreal are releasing a "Da Vinci Edition" in March with a code to download the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC pack out at the same time. To be honest, this stinks of re-releasing for the sake of it, and I doubt there are that many people who haven't played Brotherhood yet and/or still want to- most of the fans scooped the awesome sequel up on Day One. Considering the Da Vinci Disappearance pack will only set you back £5 or £6, I would recommend grabbing that unless you missed out on buying Brotherhood the first time round for Call of Duty: Black Ops (and even then you can probably buy the game preowned then purchase the DLC for a cheaper price than the £40 RRP of this edition!)
