Everyone's favourite web-slinger will definitely be back soon!All of the fans who enjoyed this week's superb new movie retelling of Spider-Man's origins- The Amazing Spider-Man (4.5/5)- will without question be happy to hear that Andrew Garfield's incarnation of the classic Webbed Wonder will return for more adventures in the not too distant future. It was taken as a given by many of us that a sequel was on its way, since Sony Pictures all-but confirmed it before the first flick even hit cinemas, yet now we have concrete confirmation on where the rebooted franchise will head soon. Here's what the distributors and Marvel Studios posted on Amazing's official Facebook page earlier this week: "It's finally here! The Amazing Spider-Man is the first installment in a movie trilogy that will explore how our fave hero's journey was shaped by the disappearance of his parents." So, it seems that as with the Sam Raimi take on Spidey, this new series will consist of three films at least, and they'll be focused largely on his first years in action rather than the latter battles of his life. Perhaps we'll see more of Peter's parents in flashback form and discover what all of the hype surrounding the rebooted universe's 'untold story' is really about? Only time will tell...The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is confirmed for release in May 2014, and the third entry in the series is likely to be released in 2016.
