Sherlock Holmes returns to the UK this Autumn...Though it's hardly an adaptation that I think many fans were dying to see, we now know how to get the latest Sherlock Holmes fix here in Britain via US drama Elementary. The drama will take place in New York as Jonny Lee Miller's intelligent detective and Lucy Liu's Joan Watson investigate a set of deadly cases involving crime, terrorism and horrific murder. Whether plot elements from Conan Doyle's original texts such as Irene Adler or Moriarty will feature in the test run of the show when it airs later this year remains to be seen, but so far the vibe surrounding the project hasn't been great, so we'll have to await this with tepid anticipation. Elementary will air on Sky Atlantic this Autumn.
