The Hobbit 3 Rumours Deepen

Will Peter Jackson add another movie to the Rings prequel series?
Peter Jackson's words at ComicCon sparked rumours that a third Hobbit film might be sent into production early next year- it seems the rumours now have a little more substance to them. A report today in the Los Angeles Times from a source close to the production of An Unexpected Journey and There And Back Again indicates that Jackson and Warner Brothers are currently in further talks about the idea of turning much of the Lord Of The Rings prequel appendices content into a new motion picture. "If we're going to do it," the source says, "We have to make a decision soon. It's strongly driven by the filmmakers' desire to tell more of the story." I doubt we'll see a proper announcement until we are merely a few months away from the first part of the proposed trilogy, but to know that talks are taking place is certainly exciting to say the very least. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey lands in cinemas on December 14th, and The Hobbit: There And Back Again on December 13th, 2013.
