Avatar 2 Delayed

The sequel to James Cameron's epic is pushed back again.
James Cameron's having a tough and slow old time of it getting his new fantasy movie Avatar 2 off the ground and running. The director's plan was initially to shoot the second and third films in the hit franchise back-to-back for release in 2014 and 2015, but now it seems unlikely that even those distant date goals will be met in time for the projected debuts. This week, Cameron has confirmed that production on Avatar 2 has been delayed again. On top of that, the rumours sparked by star Sigourney Weaver that a fourth Avatar flick would also be shot in time for a 2016 release are apparently "premature", something that the director will only consider if and when the second entry enters production and depending on the ease of the two-movie process. Avatar 2 is now set for release in cinemas during the year of 2015.
