We're little more than a month away from Doctor Who's return to our screens, so showrunner Steven Moffat and co-executive producer Caroline Skinner have been busy promoting the future of the programme over at ComicCon. We've got a roundup of the promising details they had to give at the US convention last week after their exclusive Who panel right here, and you can read all the important bits below before checking out the full video...
- ON THE TRANSITION BETWEEN COMPANIONS: "Well, the first thought is about goodbye, because stories are about endings and how you get there. I've known for a long time how I was going to [end the Ponds' stories], and obviously how it was going to impact the Doctor, and that leads into the next story [Jenna's]."
- ON THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY: "Well, we've done a lot of thinking about it, a lot of secret discussions in basements and television centres..."
- ON THE RUMOURED MOVIE: "It was really a non-story that took quite a turn...there will never come a time when there is a separate Doctor Who, a seperate Doctor. No, of course there won't!"
- ON LIFE FOR THE SHOW AFTER THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY: "No, how far in advance do you think we work?!? There will be life after the anniversary, definitely, but we're focusing on promoting this series right now."
