Find out when DreamWorks are bringing this video game adaptation to the big screen!
Not too long ago now, DreamWorks Pictures confirmed that they would helm a movie adaptation of the Need For Speed video game franchise. This week, they've expanded their news on the project by confirming a release date for the first film in their new series. We don't know for sure yet whether the flick will be a direct take on one of the iconic games that Criterion and other developers have produced, for example Most Wanted or The Run, but you can probably expect the style and tone of the big screen version to mirror iconic racing legends of the past like Fast & Furious and Drive. Expect to hear more details from DreamWorks on the storyline and production team very soon as the date moves closer to us. We'll see the film hit in just under two years' time, when it will be up against the likes of LEGO: The Piece Of Resistance, Cloudy 2: Revenge Of The Leftovers, Malificent, Captain America 2, X-Men: First Class 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, Transformers 4, Guardians Of The Galaxy, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and many other big names coming out in 2014. Need For Speed will speed into cinemas on February 7th, 2014.
