The US' hottest supernatural drama will be back with a bite...Amercian fantasy drama True Blood will return for a sixth run, its producers Home Box Office (HBO) have confirmed this week. The show follows a group of vampires who frequently fail to integrate themselves into modern day society, often leading into disastrous consequences. As always, each episode from the new fifth season is getting a great viewing rating, so it's little wonder that HBO have had the confidence to commision a new run just a few weeks into their current one. For now, True Blood will continue airing on HBO in the States until late August. After that things will become a bit longer in terms of the wait, as the production team head into shooting for a proposed June 2013 initial airdate for Series Five Episode 1. Still, in these harsh economic times, it's great to see shows like True Blood thriving rather than falling down!
