It'll be time to head on an Unexpected Journey in a few months...We're about to see new footage of the two Hobbit movies unveiled at the Los Angeles ComicCon this coming week, but before then we've had a brand new poster for the first instalment revealed by Peter Jackson and his marketing team at New Line Pictures. Titled The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the opener will see Bilbo Baggins recruited for a quest of epic proportions, as he must travel across mountains, fields and battlegrounds in the early days of his journeys to the lair of the evil dragon Smaug. The film will likely wrap up with Bilbo's discovery of the One Ring in the cave where the mysterious Gollum resides, after an iconic series of riddles is exchanged and events that will shape the course of Middle-Earth begin to occur. The new ComicCon poster shows Gandalf walking towards the Shire of old to ask for Bilbo's help in the aforementioned adventure, and perfectly sums up the nostalgia and excitement Jackson is rightfully trying to provoke amongst fans ahead of the film's release! Expect a new trailer for the first part (or both films) very soon...The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey travels to cinemas on December 14th.
