Our Spidey Week commences tomorrow for some web-tastic features!
This month is pretty slow for any kinds of huge batches of entertainment releases, yet at least there's still something big every week. This week it's the return of a Webbed Wonder, a super hero whose reboot is the subject of a lot of controversy. Here's a round-up of what's to come...
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN- Andrew Garfield takes on the role of The Amazing Spider-Man for this web-tastic reboot to which the blog dedicates itself this coming week. Will the latest entry in the franchise impress, or can we write this off as a failed Ghost Rider 2-esque superhero movie? Find out very soon...(Tuesday 3rd)
SINBAD- Sky1's new pirate drama debuts this week, as we discover the origins of the worlds and characters of the Sinbad legend. There's no guarantee this show will achieve greatness, but with Sinbad it's great to have a new drama to fill in the dire Summer television drought. (Sunday 8th)
AND THERE'S MORE...John Carter, Jack & Jill, Project X, This Means War and Act Of Valour arrive on DVD and Blu-Ray shelves, while new episodes of Rules Of Engagement and The Ricky Gervais Show broadcast on E4 and Dead Island: Game Of The Year Edition and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy are the week's big games.
ON THE BLOG- Our reviews of Max Payne 3; Spec Ops: The Line; LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes; The Amazing Spider-Man; The Amazing Spider-Man: The Game and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel surface, plus the first verdict on Sinbad and recommending the top Carnegie 2011 novels from the recent shortlist to check out.
AND NEXT WEEK...The Ice Age franchise makes its full return with Continental Drift, an ambitious new outing for a truly successful animated series!
