Ubisoft Montreal have today released a new gameplay video for their upcoming fantasy historical video game Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The latest instalment in the best-selling annual franchise, this multi-generational fourth chapter is teased once more in a video (below) based around its Open-World gameplay mechanics.
To recap what's been said regarding the title's narrative in the last few months, Black Flag's inter-Animus tale takes place some decades before the events of Assassin's Creed III's Connor Kenway lifetime. Here, the perspective is that of Connor's grandfather Edward, an Assassin living through the Golden Age of Piracy on the high seas of the Caribbean. Edward finds himself torn between his alleigance to the Creed and the elusive lure of fame and fortune, leading to a diverse and eclectic narrative experience. With Ubisoft already having released an impressive Watch Dogs trailer earlier today, though, nothing is more apparent than the fact that the competition of hot open-world titles this Autumn is immensely heated...
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag swings onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo WiiU and PC on November 1st.
