Warner Brothers Montreal have today released the latest trailer for their upcoming superhero video game Batman: Arkham Origins. Set nine years before the events of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009) and Batman: Arkham City (2011), this prequel instalment takes the Caped Crusader into the vast landscape of Gotham City on Christmas Eve, as Black Mask hires eight deadly assassins to take down his most notorious adversary.
The developers have already been kind enough to confirm that Bane, Deadshot, Copperhead and Firefly will all feature amongst the list of assassins out for Batman's head, with Lady Shiva recently leaked as the sixth member of the club via an Achievements list for the title. One of the most thrilling propositions, though, in Arkham Origins is not only engaging in combat with Deathstroke too, but playing as the masked master of gadgetry and versatile weapons. This opportunity comes in the form of an exclusive DLC pack available with pre-orders, offering players three skins and two new challenge maps (including a 100-Vs-1 variation) in which to take on the role of this secondary character. The latest trailer for the game (below) promotes the downloadable pack in question, and right now it's looking like an impressive add-on component.
Batman: Arkham Origins glides onto Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on October 25th.
