As the first half of September already reaches its conclusion, while the month's big release is still a week away, there's still content to keep us busy in the next seven days. Primarily, we're looking at new TV, music and film releases, each format of which brings some impressive contenders to the plate this week.
Of course, you'll want to be back here next week for what could potentially be 2013's biggest and best video game. For now, though, here's our regular round-up of all that's hot in the world of entertainment during the next seven days...
IRON MAN 3 DVD & BLU-RAY- Few would have expected the third instalment in the Iron Man film franchise and the seventh entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to turn out as the Summer of Film 2013's greatest blockbuster. That's exactly the case, however, and now you've got the chance to experience it for a second time on DVD and Blu-Ray. Iron Man 3 follows Tony Stark in the midst of a gruelling depression post-New York, only to introduce the threat of the sinister Mandarin into the armoured protagonist's life in order to bring him back into action with a bang! Special features on the Blu-Ray version include an exclusive Marvel One Shots short film titled Agent Carter, so look out for that. (Monday 9th)

This latest edition of Murray Gold and Silva Screen's Original Television Soundtrack covers all the great musical moments of the past season from Asylum of the Daleks to The Name of the Doctor, including a tragic farewell for Amelia and Rory Pond, a mysterious re-emergence of an impossible girl and a terrible secret that must never be told...(Monday 9th)
THE NEWSROOM: THE GENOA TIP- Sky Atlantic's weekly broadcasts of The Newsroom Season Two continue with the second episode of the latest run. In The Genoa Tip, Will McAvoy and the News Night team face a new development in their ongoing legal case, with the supposed story that will "make careers and end presidencies" becoming all the more tangible and Neal finding himself caught up in Occupy Wall Street's campaign in a physical and dangerous manner. (Monday 9th)
RUSH- To conclude this second week of September, Chris Hemsworth offers up one of the first big post-Summer motion pictures of 2013. Set to the backdrop of an Formula 1 championship, Rush delves into the lives of two brazen racers whose paths collide in a spectacular and devastating competition that threatens to tear their lives apart metaphorically and literally. Can the pair spark a friendship that will redeem their thoughtless and collaterally-damaging lifestyles? The journey to discover the answer could prove to be one of the most compelling filmic rides of the year! (Friday 13th)
AND THERE'S MORE- Team America: World Police Special Edition dangles on strings into Blu-Ray retailers everywhere tomorrow, Jack Whitehall's Bad Education: Series 2 lands on DVD and Blu-Ray at the same time and the penultimate episode of David Walliams' charming British comedy show Big School broadcasts on BBC One this Friday.
