The solitary Xbox 360 exclusive still to come in 2013 has been shunted to early next year- sorry, folks...
Microsoft Game Studios and Lionshead Games have today confirmed a delay in the release date of their upcoming fantasy video game Fable: Anniversary. A remake of the 2003 hit RPG Fable, this Xbox 360-exclusive retail product adds achievements, a high-definition graphics engine and enhanced branching mission campaigns on top of the acclaimed Xbox original title.
While Lionshead's election to push Anniversary back is a noble one in terms of their integrity as developers eager to appease their dwindling fanbase, on the other hand it's potentially a risky turn of events for Microsoft. The publishers were keen to emphasise this Summer that the Xbox 360 will still receive exclusive retail releases between now and 2016, but with Anniversary's setback, the console now has no new exclusive outings on the horizon until after this particular year of video game entertainment.
Fable Anniversary will now retail exclusively on Xbox 360 in February 2014.
