Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD Announced

Return to the battles of Aveline next year on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC...Ubisoft Montreal have today announced the development of Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD for release in digital retailers next year. Set during the timeline of Assassin's Creed III, the game focuses on a new Assassin, Aveline, whose path intertwines with that of Connor Kenway during her quest to find freedom and redemption.

Liberation originally retailed as a PlayStation Vita exclusive, and was met with a positive reception- the title still holds an admirable 70% average score on Metacritic. Sadly, it seems the impressive spin-off did not garner the sales it deserved, meaning that Ubisoft now needs to translate the product on other platforms in digital form. Whether Liberation HD will recieve a boxed retail release in stores has yet to be confirmed, but we do know for certain that the HD edition features new cutscenes, new missions and new and improved tutorial sequences!

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD retails on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC in Spring 2014.
