Coming Up This Week: September 2nd-8th

It's September- can you believe it? To usher us into this fine month, the entertainment industry has a few key releases for us this week.
Well, here we are, then- the final third of 2013 has arrived. September's first week isn't absolutely jam-packed with big releases, but what's there and indeed what's highlighted in this particular article is definitely well worth your time. In the weeks ahead, we've Iron Man 3's DVD/Blu-Ray release, more from The Newsroom, the launch of Grand Theft Auto V and Marvel's Agents of SHIELD's debut to look forward to, so if nothing here floats your boat, then fear not for long.

Without further ado, here's our round-up of everything that's hot in the realms of entertainment in the coming seven days:

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS DVD & BLURAY- "KHAAAAAAAAANNNN!" Apologies, I must have had something in my throat there. Anyway, Paramount Pictures' Star Trek Into Darkness turned out to be a fair critical and commerical success upon its release this Summer, which should make its DVD & Blu-Ray retail release rather exciting. For newcomers to the film, Into Darkness takes the crew of the Enterprise on a vengeance mission across space against the ultimate enemy...(Monday 2nd)
TOTAL WAR: ROME II- Quite possibly the biggest PC video game release of 2013, Total War: Rome II is the latest instalment in the hit strategy historical saga. Within this illustrious package, over 117 factions (8 of which are playable) will factor into the gameplay experience, with a campaign map packing over 170 regions and an infinite range of possibilities as to how the epic siege and battlefield confrontations can play out. Suffice to say, any player who has even an inkling of interest in Roman warfare can find no greater video game experience than this one in 2013! (Tuesday 3rd)
ABOUT TIME- For any budding romantic-comedy fans among us, the man who virtually defined the entire genre is back- Richard Curtis has returned to the box office scene with his new motion picture About Time. What's the catch? An innovative time-travel narrative amongst the laughs and flirting that integrates stars such as Domnhall Gleeson, Rachel McAdams, Bill Nighy and Lindsan Duncan. If those four cast members aren't enough on their own merits to lure you into catching this film, then I don't know what is. (Wednesday 4th)
AND THERE'S MORE- The Big Bang Theory- Season 6, Hannibal- Season 1, The Little Mermaid Collection and Love Is All You Need all retail for DVD and Blu-Ray tomorrow, plus The Newsroom debuts with Season Two Episode One on Sky Atlantic tomorrow at 9pm and Diablo III bursts onto Xbox 360 this Wednesday 4th.
AND NEXT WEEK...Doctor Who: Series 7- Original Television Soundtrack and Iron Man 3's DVD and Blu-Ray discs launch in retailers everywhere, and The Newsroom continues with the second episode of Season Two, The Genoa Tip. Two weeks until Grand Theft Auto V now, people...
