The CW's superhero drama finds its Flash ahead of Season Two's première next month.
The CW have today announced a new cast member for the upcoming second season of Arrow. The channel's science-fiction superhero drama show is back for a new run from October, featuring plenty of much-loved DC superheroes and exciting twists for Oliver Queen and his own alter-ego Green Arrow.
Grant Gustin will join the programme in Season Two's eighth episode. He's best known for his role as Sebastian Smythe in the Fox musical drama Glee, yet his role on Arrow will be altogether different. Gustin will play Bart Allen, aka Justice League hero the Flash, in Episodes 8, 9 and 20, with the latter instalment currently intended as a backdoor pilot episode for a Flash spin-off show. DC Entertainment and The CW haven't confirmed whether these two shows will feed into a future Justice League movie, but if so, then a DC Cinematic Universe could begin to form right here...
Arrow returns to The CW on October 9th, with a UK broadcast to follow later in the Autumn.
