First and foremost, the publishers were clearly eager to confirm that across 13 regions, the Xbox One will retail in late November, ready for a direct confrontation with Sony's PlayStation 4.
Just how will that battle of the fates play out, though? Right now, it's difficult to tell for certain- what we do know is that Xbox One preorders have risen by approximately 200% since Microsoft's impressive conference at Gamescom 2013. All signs sound positive for the PS4 too, however, so it's anyone's game (sorry) at this stage. Microsoft's second announcement of the day could tip the tide, though- if players don't want to have a copy of FIFA 14 free with their Day One console, then a new bundle with Forza Motorsport 5 included is retailing for the standard RRP of £430 right now!
The Xbox One will retail in Europe, the United States and eleven other regions on November 22nd.
