iPad 2 Unveiled
As if one £430 tablet wasn't enough, Apple have today announced that the iPad 2 is heading to retailers on the 25th of March. Coincidentally (read: NOT), that's the same day as the Nintendo 3DS releases in the UK, so there may (read: WILL) be some competition between the two handhelds later this month. This incarnation will be significantly thinner than the original iPad and even the iPhone 4, measuring just 9mm deep, and come in two colours, black and white, though as the image here shows many more interesting versions are planned for later on. FaceTime software will be implemented, too, to allow users to video chat with other iPhone, Mac and iPad uses wirelessly, plus fans can expect new updates to GarageBand, PhotoBooth and iMovie in April. The iPad 2 will be the first handheld tablet to use a dual-core processor, dubbed the Apple A5, and feature a graphic speed nine times faster than the first iPad.
