BBC Three bring us a new addition to the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary celebratory ensemble this November!
BBC Three have today announced the production of a new Doctor Who 50th Anniversary documentary programme for broadcast later this year. This latest project from the BBC joins a wealth of celebratory instalments including Series Seven Part Two, the blockbuster 50th Anniversary Special, the 2013 Christmas Special, a special edition of The Culture Show, Mark Gatiss' docudrama An Adventure In Space And Time, the multi-classic Doctor audio drama The Light at the End, the Destiny of the Doctor audio range, a series of eBooks from beloved children's authors, the Heathrow Airport promotional events, the 50th Anniversary Official Convention and even a recreation of the TARDIS' first journey.
The news itself comes from comedian Tom Crane, who had this to say on his Twitter account earlier today: "Delighted that I'll be appearing as a guest in a forthcoming BBC Three celebrating fifty years of Doctor Who. Wouldn't put it past me to have a few stern words about the Daleks." Reports claim that this will be a Greatest Moments retrospective of the show's finest hours in the past fifty years, featuring a host of celebrity guest stars reminiscing on Who days gone by. Suffice to say that if it hasn't become clear already, there will be hordes upon hordes of Who-themed offerings come November to celebrate what could perhaps be the show's greatest moment of them all...until the 100th Anniversary, of course.
Doctor Who: Greatest Moments will broadcast on BBC Three this November. Doctor Who returns with its blockbuster 50th Anniversary Special on BBC One and in cinemas everywhere this November 23rd.
