Those wanting the creators of Thor to put the hammer down on his hit franchise will be left disappointed...
Natalie Portman has today hinted that a third film in the Thor franchise is already in the works. The news comes in the wake of a growing marketing campaign for the upcoming superhero movie sequel Thor: The Dark World, which in itself forms an integral part of Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Two series of motion picture epics.

Here's what the star of Black Swan and No Strings Attached had to say on the matter: "Yeah, well I think that [the production team] are going to be making a Thor 3, so Anthony [Hopkins, Odin] will be pleased." It's significant to recognise here that Portman neglects to include herself in the overarching assertion of a third Thor flick, which is made doubly contemplation-provoking by the shot in the original Dark World teaser trailer that seemed to depict Malkeith strangling Portman's character Jane Foster, with Chris Hemsworth's Thor appearing incapable of saving his love. Could it be that Jane's story ends this Autumn? We'll see, but it's at least exciting to anticipate Thor 3 joining Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and The Avengers 3 in the already-confirmed Phase Three franchise kicking off in 2015.
