Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios have today released the second full promotional poster (below) for their upcoming superhero film Thor: The Dark World. Taking place one year after the events of Avengers Assemble, this much-anticipated follow-up focuses on the Asgardian Avenger's return to his kingdom with Jane, only for the Norse hero to discover that his realm lies close to ruin, with a malicious army of magical creatures threatening his race's very existence.
As expected, Marvel's latest promo poster adheres to much the same format as that of Iron Man 3- viewers can clearly see a dame (in this case Jane) in Thor's arms, with allies such as Sif and Odin lying behind the protaognist along with antagonists such as Loki and Malkeith the Dark Elf. Whilst you try to get over the fact that Christopher Eccleston's character in the film is truly dubbed with that atrocious latter title, take solace in the knowledge that our next full theatrical trailer reveal for The Dark World is coming next week on Wednesday August 7th.
Thor: The Dark World hammers into UK cinemas everywhere on October 30th.
