Xbox One Unboxing Video Debuts, Headset Announced

Microsoft's third home console is unwrapped ahead of Gamescom, alongside another beneficial policy change...
Microsoft Game Studios have today released a video (below) depicting their new Xbox One console being taken out of its retail packaging. Set for release this Winter, the latest incarnation of the Xbox hardware will boast enhanced high-definition graphics, DRM gameplay recording capabilities and a variety of multi-format entertainment functions.

The new preview of the console reveals a couple of surprising new developments courtesy of the team at Microsoft. First and foremost, the Xbox One will ship with a free headset after concerns were raised about an initial headset to use in Xbox Live gameplay sessions retailing at an RRP of £20 at launch. What with Sony having debuted a free headset in their own unboxing video to retaliate yesterday, it's reassuring to once again see the Xbox developers adhering to both the comments of their fans and indeed the actions of their competition.

Xbox One ships to video game retailers worldwide this November.
