It seems that one of the world's most popular rock bands will try to fix Katniss this November!
Lionsgate Studios have today announced one of the artists that will feature on the upcoming soundtrack for the much-anticipated fantasy motion picture The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Set for release alongside the second instalment in the company's adaptations of Suzanne Collins' novels, the soundtrack will feature a variety of songs inspired by the film's storyline performed by a diverse range of popular artists.
The first revealed artist is none other than Coldplay, we can now confirm. This beloved British rock band have recorded a new song, Atlas, exclusively for Catching Fire. Any fans of the team behind Fix You, The Scientist and Clocks concerned that they won't hear the band's new song until the film's release need not fear, though- the track will retail on iTunes later this month ahead of its full debut during the movie's credits and on the aforementioned soundtrack itself.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire- The Official Motion Picture Soundtrack will retail alongside its titular film's worldwide release on November 22nd. Coldplay's Atlas premieres on August 26th.
