Can 2015 possibly withstand yet another returning film franchise? Here's hoping...
Seth MacFarlane has today announced the targeted release window for his upcoming comedy sequel Ted 2. Taking place after the events of the hit 2012 original flick, the follow-up will again feature Mark Wahlberg and MacFarlane in its lead roles, with returns from supporting cast members such as Mila Kunis and Laura Vandervoort still to be confirmed.
As of yet, there's virtually no details as to what the narrative of the second film could entail. Those who caught Ted in 2012 or after its release will no doubt recall that John (Wahlberg) and Lori (Kunis) were wed by none other than Flash Gordon's Sam J. Jones in the original's climactic sequence, so it's likely that at the very least we can guess the plot will follow up on the newly weds and Ted's continuing role within the relationship. Quite whether the Bennets' love for one another can withstand more comedy antics aplenty this time around remains to be seen, though!
Ted 2 swaggers into cinemas worldwide on April 3rd, 2015. So, for those keeping check (and why wouldn't you, quite frankly?), that's The Spongebob Squarepants Movie 2, The Fantastic Four, The Penguins of Madagascar, Ted 2, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Superman Vs. Batman, Star Wars Episode VII, Assassin's Creed, Terminator, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, The Smurfs 3, The Grinch 2, Ant-Man, Bond 24, Artemis Fowl, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2, Finding Dory, Now You See Me 2 and Kung Fu Panda 3 all set for 2015- in other words, brace yourselves.
