Don't be surprised if Disney Infinity turns out to be one of the shock hit video games of 2013, judging by this new preview!Disney Interactive Studios and Avalanche Games have this week released a new trailer for their upcoming video game project Disney Infinity. Set for release later this Summer, the new rival to Skylanders merges together hit Disney franchises both classic and modern, including Monsters' University, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Incredibles, The Lone Ranger and Toy Story in its initial Playsets.
Speaking of those aforementioned Playsets, this new preview focuses on the different narrative experiences players can expect from each of these campaigns. From fighting Davey Jones on the high seas as Jack Sparrow to besting Fright Tech students at Monsters' University, it really does seem as if there will be little end to the variety of gameplay experiences on offer in this product. Better yet, the additional Toy Box mode allows players to combine these varied elements from different franchises, creating an infinite number of potential further possibilities. Disney Infinity will retail on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo WiiU and Nintendo Wii on August 20th.
