Rockstar Games have today released the first full gameplay demo trailer of their upcoming open-world video game Grand Theft Auto V. Compiling together various elements of the product including weapon and vehicular customisation, hobbies, various character perspectives and even a teaser of the elusive multiplayer campaign Grand Theft Auto Online, this trailer is without a doubt one of the finest previews we've seen released for a new video game in some time.
Right now, it seems that GTA V will remain a firmly current-generation release, for better or for worse. Naturally, this determination by Rockstar to focus on quality rather than platform quantity means that the visuals on offer here aren't necessarily quite as impressive as those titles known to cross generations such as Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Call of Duty: Ghosts. Nevertheless, this slight graphical restraint of current-gen consoles should be no real problem to Rockstar in terms of enabling a genre-defining and indeed generation-defining experience once again. Check out the preview below!
Grand Theft Auto V blasts onto Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 17th.
