Two of the world's most beloved animated shows converge for a standalone episode next year!Fox Studios have this week announced a crossover episode of the two animated TV comedies Family Guy and The Simpsons. Taking place within the next season of Family Guy, the new instalment 'The Simpsons Guy' will see the Griffins journey to Springfield to meet Homer and the rest of the Simpson family.
The twelfth season of Family Guy is set to feature a number of landmark events, including the return of Cleveland to the town of Quahog after the recent cancellation of The Cleveland Show. It seems probable to assert that 'The Simpsons Guy' will broadcast as part of the second half of the season next Spring, as Fox announced that the episode will not be airing in 2013.
Family Guy: The Simpson Guy will broadcast on Fox and BBC Three in 2014.
