New Rayman Legends Mode Announced

Ubisoft Montpieller reveal another mode set to feature in their much-anticipated follow-up...
Ubisoft Montpellier have today announced the development of a new gameplay mode featured in their upcoming platforming video game Rayman Legends. The sequel to 2010's acclaimed platformer Rayman Origins, Legends takes the stunning visual engine and accomplished gameplay mechanics of its predecessor (itself a reboot of the franchise) and adds in musical melody levels and new challenges to shake up the formula.

This newly announced mode is titled 'Back To Origins', and allows fans of Origins a chance like never before. An entire 40 levels from Rayman Origins will now form a part of Legends, albeit with the new visual and gameplay styles of the sequel making a profound difference in terms of how the reconstructed 'classic' levels perform. It's an inspired decision by the Montpellier studio, and one which proves without a doubt that the development team have been fairly busy since the delay of the project to allow for a multi-platform release.

Rayman Legends ships for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo WiiU on August 30th.
