Scratch one for judges not appearing in Season Three, as one of The Voice UK's top names leaves the show.The BBC have this week announced that Jessie J will not return for a third season of The Voice UK. The show is set to return next year for a new run, featuring the latest teenage and adult singing talent and once again hosted by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates.
Until now, announcements on returning (or indeed departing) judges in Season Three had not been forthcoming from the BBC, yet the television studio have confirmed that Jessie J intends to work on her new album in 2014 and thus cannot make time to return to the show on a weekly basis. Whether this means the acclaimed British star will return to The Voice UK in a minor, behind-the-scenes role next season remains to be seen. Expect announcements on whether Danny Donoghue, Will.i.am and Tom Jones will reprise their seats on the judging panel soon, and indeed on who will replace these celebrities if they elect to depart.
The Voice UK returns to BBC One in Spring 2014.
