Meet the Arrow- discover the first secrets of Season Two via new and exclusive footage fresh from ComicCon!If it hasn't been made abundantly clear by now, then to state the obvious, ComicCon was a massive convention this year for shows, films and games alike- including for US studio The CW, who unveiled their first teaser trailer (below) for the second season of superhero drama Arrow. Set a year after the events of its initial run, Season Two will feature new heroes such as Black Canary and Speedy, as well as throwing a host of deadly new villains into the mix.
This first teaser footage initially recaps the events we witnessed in Season One's finale- e.g. the deaths of Tommy and Malcolm Merlyn, the progression of Oliver's island flashbacks to a disturbing climax and the emergence of Roy Harper onto the streets of Starling City for new adventures. After that recollection, we move into Season Two footage, and it seems that following in the wake of The Dark Knight Rises (indeed, the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy seems to have proved inspirational to Arrow as a whole), the newly christened hero 'Arrow' will take convincing to return to save the city, having sacrificed a true friend in his most dangerous battle last season.
Arrow returns to Sky1 this Autumn.
