Did you deduce it? BBC One's repeats of Series Two reveal the name of the Series Three finale of their detective drama.
The BBC have today confirmed the title of the third and final episode of their upcoming third series of Sherlock. This hit detective drama returns for three more blockbuster 90-minute adventures later this year, once again starring Star Trek Into Darkness' Benedict Cumberbatch as the eponymous Great Detective and The Hobbit's Martin Freeman as his friend and sidekick John Watson.
Concluding a set of teasers spread out throughout the first two episodes of BBC One's run of Sherlock Series Two repeats, we now know that Series Three Episode Three is titled His Last Vow. This three-word hint of what's to come is in fact a twist of an original Arthur Conan Doyle Holmes tale's title, His Last Bow. Bow saw the retirement of Holmes from Scotland Yard's cases and in turn marked the end of Conan Doyle's works surrounding the detective on 221B Baker Street. Given that Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss confirmed a fourth series is all but inevitable at ComicCon, though, the likelihood of such an adaptation of this adventure being anything other than loose is fairly slim.
Sherlock returns to BBC One with its third series this Christmas.
