James Bond 24 Announced

James Bond Will Return...in one of the busiest years the film industry has ever had!
Sony Pictures and MGM Studios have today announced the production of Bond 24 for release in the near future. Set after the events of the hit 50th Anniversary film Skyfall (2012), this currently untitled twenty-fourth instalment in the James Bond film franchise will again star Daniel Craig as the charismatic and courageous British secret agent from Ian Fleming's classic novels.

As of today, we have the first concrete details on the new motion picture. The biggest news here is also perhaps the best- Sam Mendes will return to direct Bond 24. Mendes' take on this world of espionage and corruption was one of the most successful elements in making Skyfall a grand hit, so to have him back helming proceedings bodes very well indeed. On top of that, we now know that John Logan will pen the film's screenplay. Logan holds an illustrious history in the film industry, having penned such greats as Star Trek: Nemesis, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Rango and Hugo. Better yet, the screenplay writer was one of the writing team on Skyfall, and thus comes to Bond 24 ready for further action and adventures.

What's most intriguing about today's announcements, then? That Bond 24 will fall in 2015 is going to make all of the difference this time around. Already, we know that 2015 will feature The Fantastic Four, Cinderella, The Penguins of Madagascar, The Avengers 2, Assassin's Creed, Terminator, Independence Day 2, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, Star Wars Episode VII, Ant-Man, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2, Finding Dory and Kung Fu Panda 3, so it's without a doubt a year full of sequels in which this next much-anticipated instalment will have to stand out to succeed.

Bond 24 is set for release in cinemas worldwide on October 23rd, 2015.
