Could our first visual teaser for Days of Future Past debut next week in the standalone X-Men film?
Hugh Jackman has confirmed today that fans will have the chance to witness a post-credits scene in the new 20th Century Fox superhero thriller movie The Wolverine. Set after the events of 2007's divisive X-Men: The Last Stand, this new instalment in the acclaimed film franchise sees Wolverine offered the chance to become mortal while facing off against Japanese warriors, conspiracies and robots galore.
So, just what did the chiselled Australian star have to say on the matter of extra Wolverine content? Here's the full response to Digital Spy's query on the matter: "There's a lot of great actors in it, and if you stick around for the end credits of The Wolverine, you're going to get a really nice little Easter Egg for what Days of Future Past has to offer...which we can't reveal!" It's been heavily rumoured that Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and another member of the X-Men will feature in the scene to tease the timeline-shifting nature of 2014's upcoming superhero ensemble, but it all remains to be seen next week.
The Wolverine claws into cinemas worldwide on July 25th.
