Batman: Arkham 3 Leaked?

Could Rocksteady be planning more Caped Crusading on next-generation consoles?
A third game in the Batman: Arkham franchise may be in the works, according to reports published today. The series' most recent instalment, Batman: Arkham Origins (developed as a freshman effort by WB Montreal), lacked the finesse and narrative grandeur of its predecessors, earning just a 6/10 at On-Screen last October and currently holding a good-but-not-great 74% average score at Metacritic.

Rumours of a new Dark Knight-themed project currently in-development at Rocksteady Studios have emerged today after a leaked tweet from IGN's Jan Meijroos. The tweet has since been deleted for embargo reasons, but a screenshot of it can be seen below, and Meijroos' response to those inquiring on the matter was that we'll hear more "in just over a month". GameInformer were the first to reveal Arkham City to the world in 2009, and if a third Arkham chapter is in the works, then the magazine may do so again next month. Alternatively, if Rocksteady show up to the Game Developers' Conference in March, expect to hear more on whatever they've got cooking at the major press event.
