Let the games continue, as Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osmond return for more episodes of the acclaimed quiz show.
The BBC have today announced the commissioning of three new seasons of their quiz programme Pointless. Hosted by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osmond, the series sees contestants attempting to find answers to trivia questions which their audience haven't already guessed, with the final round tasking the player(s) with uncovering a 'Pointless' answer which none of the audience members submitted beforehand.
Traditionally, Pointless airs within the BBC One daytime schedule, and Seasons Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen will continue this trend, as 204 new episodes of the regular programme are filmed later this year for broadcast on weekdays. On top of that, though, the Beeb have revealed that we're also getting 24 new episodes of Pointless Celebrities, the celeb-filled edition of the quiz which generally airs either on Saturday afternoons or evenings. Unless we hear otherwise, assume that this programming schedule will remain the same for the foreseeable future, with Armstrong and Osmond both lending their charms to the show until further notice.
Pointless will return to BBC One in late February, while Pointless Celebrities will recommence its semi-regular broadcasts this Spring.
