2011 Kinect Games To Watch #5: Brain Training

Kinect games have gone rather quiet since the Christmas onslaught featuring Adventures, Sports, Joy Ride, Dance Central, Fitness Evolved, Game Party: In Motion, MotionSports and Dance Evolution, so a new release so early this year is something for anticipation, even if it is essentially a remake of a Nintendo DS game. However, if the aforementioned handheld title is one of the biggest casual gaming successes in a good while then some attention might as well be paid to the sequel. Dr Kawashima's Body and Brain Exercises will task players with finding out their Brain Age by trying a series of mini-games and response tests such as working out Maths problems and writing the answers with one hand on the right side of the screen while using your other hand to guide Pac-Man away from the ghosts (I'm already sold just on that combination!). We'll see the good doctor in Avatar form (the 360 characters, not the blue aliens from James Cameron's money-sucking sci fi epic), too, which might well get a few chuckles, and for now while we wait for some bigger Kinect games to get announced this is just the right sort of filler!
